I am a children's writer working towards my first book deal. As such, I continually research the latest trends and consult the most recent reference books to enhance my craft. I am also an avid reader of children's books. Not only do I read them to stay up-to-date with the market, but I also simply love them. I love being drawn into the worlds they create and watching the experiences unfold before my eyes. There's something special about children's books that adult fiction often lacks. For me, it's the innocence, the imagination, the fantastical, and I love getting my hands on whatever is out there, old or new. ​

Crafting is a passion and hobby of mine. I love gathering supplies, mapping out a design, and seeing the final product come to life. I love it so much that I began selling my items on Etsy. Since then, I have participated in craft fairs, created items for my wedding, and now have this small store dedicated to my hobby. ​

I'm a MADspeaker

​Though I am an introvert at heart, I actually enjoy public speaking. I like using my writing chops to put together a speech. I like breaking down the speech to determine pace, voice and movement. I like practicing it to fine tune it. But most of all, I love when all the tingling nerves just disappear as I deliver my speech. It's my years of acting training in high school and college shining through. And yes, as an introvert, I am always exhausted when the speech is done.
